# Error codes

> Identify the problem and next step without exposing credentials.

Errors contain a `code`, a message or title, and a `requestId`. Include the request ID when contacting the team.

| HTTP | Meaning | Next step |
| - | - | - |
| `400` / `422` | Invalid request | Check names, types and identifiers in the operation reference. |
| `401` | Missing, invalid or expired credential | Replace the key or reconnect your assistant. |
| `403` | Missing scope, role or company access | Check the grant and your current company role. |
| `404` | Resource absent or inaccessible | Find its ID through an allowed list operation. |
| `409` | Review changed, already decided, or idempotency key reused with different inputs | Read the current state before a new decision. |
| `413` | Request body too large | Reduce the request; these endpoints do not accept video files. |
| `429` | Too many requests | Wait for `Retry-After`. |
| `500` / `502` / `503` | Service temporarily unavailable | Keep the request ID and retry a read later. |

An interrupted approval may have succeeded. Reuse its idempotency key with identical inputs to check the result. Do not automatically create a new decision.
